Just Like Mum

Well we had some big news for Lulu yesterday, after some initial testing at Plunket she was referred on a specialist and yesterday we found that she will be needing to wear glasses full time, mainly due to astigmatism, which hopefully will correct itself over the next few years (crossing everything). Great that we caught it early.
We spent the afternoon trying on frames and we came to a decision finally, she has a pink pair with lavender arms coming later in the week. Today she's wearing mine for laughs and she's feeling good about it and seems happy to wear them, she seems to understand what it will mean. And they look super cute on her. Will post a pic when we pick them up this week.

Great that you had it picked up early Jo. I'm sure she is going to look super spunky. My niece was around four or five when she started wearing glasses full time. They are just so much a part of 'her' and who she is (she's now nearly 18). Can't wait to see the new specs!

Your glasses really suit her! she looks all retro and funky. Get her a poodle skirt and she'll be set!

We're picking them up tomorrow. I'm nervous about it all, I know what you mean TL about them becoming a part of her. I'm sort of grieving the loss of her as the way she is. Sounds silly, but she'll be the 'little girl with glasses' from now on. But c'est la vie.
